Josiah
B. Grinnell was an Auburn Seminary classmate of Henry Parker, and like
him was a Congregational Minister. He was instramental in founding
Iowa College, which is named after him, and in founding the town that is
also named after him. He was also a Congressman.
Grinnell was a close friend of the Parkers. Grinnell's
autobiography was finished by Henry Parker, while Josiah was on his
death bed, and its forward was by Henry.
